Safety has also been improved in the Outback Wilderness. Standard features of the Outback Wilderness include a 11.6-inch touchscreen, EyeSight Drive Assist Technology and StarTex upholstery. Newly Redesigned Rugged Exterior

Real off-road adventure is here with the new exterior on the Outback Wilderness. Featuring blacked-out trim and Anodized Copper-finish accents and extra protection around the wheel wells and low impact zones, it is clear that the Subaru Outback Wildness was designed to take any punishment thrown its' way. 

Off-Roading Features

Boasting an elevated ground clearance of 9.5 inches, you can take the Outback Wilderness into the tough Idaho terrain. Both bumpers have also been redesigned for a better approach, break-over and departure to clear large obstacles in your path. The new X-MODE has been upgraded with settings for snow, sand and mud. The X-MODE will allow additional wheel slip for added power when you need it most. 

What's Under the Hood?

Featuring a 260-horsepower direct-injection turbocharged SUBARU BOXER engine, it is easy to see that the 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness is no slouch in the power department. Oh, and did we forget to mention that the engine also delivers 277 pound-feet of torqu and 3,500 pounds of towing capacity? Along with the upgraded engine, the Outback Wilderness also features a new drivetrain. The new drivetrain has retuned gearing with a revised front and rear gear ratio. This means improved low-speed-climbing on up to a 40% grade. All of this powers the standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and makes this the most capable Subaru ever.

Off-Road Wheels with All-Terrain Tires

You're going to need some serious tires to explore the outdoors of Idaho. The 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness has you covered. With new standard 17-inch matte-black alloy off-road weels and the Yokohama GEOLANDAR tires, you can go anywhere there is land. Designed to perform in all conditions, these tires were chosen specifically for advanced off-roading capabilities. The Outback Wilderness also comes with a full-size spare tire that is hidden below the cargo area.
