Now that June has begun, we are excited to continue our Subaru Loves to Care Initiative, in which we are proud to partner with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS).
Leukemia and Lymphoma Society LLS is the world’s largest health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services. LLS’s mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. To learn more about LLS, please visit their website here: http://www.lls.org/
Whenever people talk about cancer, they always use the same word. Someday. Someday there will be a cure. Someday we won’t lose the people we love. But when is someday? LLS believes that someday can be today. And what is the impact of blood cancers on our friends and family?
- Every 3 minutes one person in the U.S. is diagnosed with a blood cancer.
- Leukemia is the most common form of cancer in children.
- An estimated 1,185,053 people in the U.S. are either living with, or are in remission from, leukemia, lymphoma or myeloma.
Together with you, we can make a difference. During the month of June, visit Larry H. Miller Subaru Boise and help by:
- Creating a ‘Message of Hope’ card that will be sent to someone in the community struggling with cancer.
- Wearing an awareness-building LLS/Subaru bracelets.
At the end of June, the cards along with blankets will be delivered by LLS chapter offices to a designated local hospital. Visit Larry H. Miller Subaru Boise today to learn more about what you can do to help fight cancer in our community.
