Every year, we're happy to be able to make a substantial contribution to an important organization within the Boise community. This is part of our Share the Love campaign, and it's one of the highlights of our entire year.
For a second time, we decided to open up the decision of who should receive the donation to our fans on Facebook. As a bonus, this helps get the word out about a handful of charities in the Boise area. In the running was:
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Idaho
- Boise Rescue Mission Ministries
- Make-A-Wish Idaho
- Metro Meals on Wheels
- The Idaho Foodbank
After a couple weeks and nearly a thousand votes, our Facebook followers spoke, and the winner was Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Idaho! The donation (complete with giant check) will be held later this year. We want to thank all those who participated, and especially all five of the charities who were in the running—we look forward to supporting them more in the future.
