At the beginning of the month, the Subaru Rally Team USA drove away from Atlanta, Michigan as winners of the annual Sno*Drift rally. The excitement of the Sno*Drift comes from the conditions of the race; the racers are battling not just each other, but also the snow and ice that covers the course.
Making the Subaru Rally Team USA's victory even sweeter was the fact that was accomplished while driving a brand new 2015 WRX STI, and that the new vehicle completed the 100+ mile course without a single glitch.
David Higgins (one of the two drivers) explained, “The engineering and improvements that have gone into the new chassis are as evident on a rally stage as they are on the street. I think it’s a brilliant car and I can’t wait for the rest of the season!”
The victory is fitting, considering the fact that the Subaru WRX (along with other Subaru vehicles) are often praised for their performance in less-than-ideal conditions. And while most of us will never face roads anywhere near as challenging as the Sno*Drift, it's great to know that Subaru safety and service can be trusted to keep you and your passengers safe.
