Boise Subaru Loves Learning!
Stop by Larry H. Miller Subaru in Boise to Help Local Schools

Through the Subaru Loves Learning initiative this August, we are excited to partner with the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) to provide award winning science books to local schools, South Junior High School and Jefferson Elementary School. AAAS is a nonprofit organization that helps gives children greater access to science books and is an industry leader for information on innovation and the latest developments in science.
During the month of August, customers may stop in to customize a book label that will be placed in a brand new science book with their name and encouraging message. The science books will then be donated to South Junior High School and Jefferson Elementary School in Boise.

It is estimated that over 15 million children don't have the resources they need to succeed in school and with over 50% of the fastest growing jobs in the U.S. being in the field of science, we are excited to help fill this need for our local schools!
What is Subaru Loves Learning?
At Subaru, we believe in education. That's why we support organizations dedicated to making learning as accessible as possible. We know the deepest learning happens when students have the tools they need to inspire new ways of thinking and seeing the world. Through our Subaru Loves Learning initiative, Subaru and our retailers are supporting AAAS, by donating over tens of thousands of award-winning science books to schools across the country.
What is AAAS?
With more than 100,000 members and 250 affiliated societies, the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) is dedicated to advancing science, engineering, and innovation throughout the world for the benefit of all people.
What is the AAAS/Subaru SB&F Prize?
The AAAS/Subaru SB&F Prizes for Excellence in Science Books, now in their 10th year, celebrate outstanding science writing and illustration for children and young adults. AAAS and Subaru of America, Inc. co-sponsor the prizes to recognize recently published works that are scientifically sound and foster an understanding and appreciation of science in readers of all ages.
How will the Subaru Loves Learning book donations help students learn?
Over 50% of the fastest growing jobs in the U.S. are in the fields of science and only 26% of high school students are ready for college level science. With the inclusion of outstanding K-12 science trade books in the classroom, teachers can help bridge the gap. Subaru retailers will donate a diverse array of award-winning science books to schools with the goal of engaging K-12 students.

Did you know that every year the average teacher spends $500 of their own money on school supplies for their classroom?
